Fay has made an incredible impact on how I think about what kids are thinking when they are learning foundational math skills! I have been teaching at-risk/IEP students in Kindergarten and First grade for 27 years and thought that I understood how to teach math to these students.

Of course, I always put my best efforts and skills to work, but when Fay came to our district to begin her adventure with us, I really wasn't ready for the eye-opener I got! Fay has helped me to zone in on the "why's" of my students' thinking. Letting them have the time to share their thinking when they are trying to make sense of how abstract math is to them. Their thinking can provide the teacher so much information and decide what the next comment or question to ask to help students work through the skill. 

Fay helped guide me when working with number sense with my at-risk Kinders. WOW! These students went back into the classroom with so much more knowledge of what numbers are in many formats (dots, dominoes, dice, ten frames, etc.), Their newly mastered knowledge increases their understanding of addition and subtraction and equality! 

Fay has helped me with documentation and assessments to become more aware of my next move. 

Fay is a wonderful lady and so easy to collaborate with! She is amazing!
